Closed Circuit Television has grown as an industry
over the last 10 years due to the increased needs for security. Old style
systems which used mechanical recording devices and manual switching have
been replaced with PC based systems.
Cameras are now smart IP based devices which can
detect, record and notify of incidents. Images are recorded on to hard
drive based consoles which can be accessed via an internal network or via
the internet.
Cameras can be integrated over structured cabling
and can even utilise the network cabling to provide power for the camera
cutting electrical costs and increasing flexibility of coverage.
CCTV systems today can be designed to suit any
solution and environment.
